متن کاملIs Independence an Exception? 1
GG odel's Incompleteness Theorem asserts that any suuciently rich, sound, and recursively axiomatizable theory is incomplete. We show that, in a quite general topological sense, incompleteness is a rather common phenomenon: With respect to any reasonable topology the set of true and unprov-able statements of such a theory is dense and in many cases even co-rare.
متن کاملAn emission inventory of livestock-related bioaerosols for Lower Saxony, Germany
Detailed livestock-related emission inventories are now available for gases but not for bioaerosols, which are emitted in significant amounts and in varying compositions. In view of the environmental importance of bioaerosols, a model for their calculation is proposed here. The basic formula multiplies emission factors by the number of farm animals, but the model is extended by a factor which c...
متن کاملLower bounds on the DNF exception problem for short exception lists and related problems
In this paper we prowide lower bounds on the complexity of the DNF exception problem for short exception lists and hypercube covering problem. The method proposed is based on the relaxation of the initial problem to a certain linear programming problem. Some explicit bounds are provided for the case when exception list size is bounded above by a logarithm of dimension. The bound provided in thi...
